Danielle is a holistic healer, master herbalist, and passionate advocate for individuals living with rare, complex, and often invisible conditions.
Diagnosed at 27 after years of misdiagnoses, she lives with overlapping forms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vEDS, dEDS, and hEDS), along with autoimmune autonomic small fiber neuropathy (AASFN), a journey marked by chronic pain, mobility challenges, and nervous system dysregulation.
More than her diagnoses, Danielle carries the wisdom of walking through illness with compassion, spiritual insight, and deep self-awareness. Her personal experience navigating disability and flare cycles, physically, emotionally, and energetically – inspired her to create a nonprofit rooted in hope, dignity, and holistic support.
Through Shared Light Project, Danielle transforms pain into purpose, offering advocacy, education, and shared resources to ensure that no one has to walk their path alone. She leads with softness, strength, and a deep belief in collective healing.
Shannon is a passionate advocate living with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2i – a rare condition that affects her muscles and breathing. She’s been a full-time wheelchair user for over five years and knows firsthand how isolating life with a rare disease or disability can feel.
Through Shared Light Project and the YANA movement, Shannon helps create the community she once needed, a space where people navigating mobility challenges can find support, connection, and understanding. She’s especially dedicated to uplifting others adjusting to life with assistive devices, reminding them that healing includes compassion, and that no one has to go through it alone.

Amy Fritz is a passionate advocate and the thoughtful structure behind the Shared Light Project’s operations. As Secretary and Fundraising Coordinator, Amy brings clarity, heart, and tenacity to everything from board documentation to donor storytelling.
Her lived experience with chronic pain and complex health challenges gives her a unique depth of understanding and empathy for the community Shared Light serves. She knows firsthand what it means to navigate invisible struggles and how powerful it is to be met with care, not pity.
Amy is deeply committed to building systems that support both dignity and access. With her eye for detail and her heart for advocacy, she ensures the voices of those most often unheard are centered, documented, and uplifted.
